Hold On To Your Large Hadrons

So it appears that after a whole week and a half in quasi-operation, the Large Hadron Collider (LHS to its friends) has sustained severe damage, and will be out of commission for months. Well, I guess after so many billions of years, the secret of the universe can wait a few months to reveal itself.

This doesn't paint a good pictures of the scientists who designed this equipment, however. It must be especially unnerving to those folks who are still convinced that an earth-swallowing black hole will result from its activation.

Sounds like they need a good ad campaign. I hear Jerry Seinfeld's available.
